Spalding Street Pastors

Spalding Street Pastors

Street Pastors is an interdenominational church response to express God’s love for the community.

Churches Together in Spalding initiative:

Spalding Street Pastors will provide a caring, listening and helping role on late evenings and early morning on Friday and Saturday.
The Street Pastors project has now been operational since July 2013 on Friday and once a month on Saturday nights.  We have a team patrolling the town centre and a team of Prayer Pastors at base.  The local council and police testify that we are making a difference to our local community.  Those we engage with want to know who we are and what we stand for; rapport is being steadily established with police, as well as those that work in the night time economy,  traders, bars, nightclubs, taxi drivers and fast-food outlets.

IMAG0099 300x169 If you are interested in joining the team of Street or Prayer Pastors please contact the coordinator Marion Sandhu on 01775 711 591 for more information.  You need to be a member of a local church and over 18 years of age.  We have bi-monthly training and reflection sesions where the teams get together for refreshment, fellowship and training.  You are welcome to join us to find out more.  Dates available upon request from the coordinator.

Not only do we meet with Christian friends from the other churches, which is a privilege, but aslo we talk to other people we would never normally meet.  God is good and he is blessing us in this work.  Please be encouraged.
