Lighthouse football players Trevor Hewitt, Ali Hewitt, Eddie Hewitt, Paul Walker and Richard Philpot who filled in for Paul Coleman after he hurt his foot, played five aside football against the Baptist Church and Community Church on Monday 21st December 2009
The Churches met at the Boys Grammar School, each game lasting 20minutes. The Lighthouse first played the Baptists, winning 2-1. Richard Philpot opened the scoring, then the Baptists equalised. Richard then scored the winning goal two minutes from the end.
Having warmed up, the Lighthouse then beat the Community church 3-0 with goals from Ali (2) and Richard. In the last game, The Baptists beat the Community Church 3-2.
The next games will take place on Monday 18th January, spectators are very welcome!
