Seven

As many of you have become aware over the past year, Seven has a very clear vision. One which lines up with the Vision Statement of the Lighthouse and which is supported by a book we hope to have made a very real part of the church’s consciousness; Earthquake in the City.

We are unapologetic for the fact that we are unable to talk about this aspect of what we do without making reference to Paul Slennett’s book, as we feel that it’s importance cannot be overlooked. Recently we asked everyone at church to pray that Paul would receive a miracle; 3 million pounds by 9 am the following morning so that he would be able to purchase a chain of Christian bookshops which was about to go out of business. This is nothing out of the ordinary where Paul is concerned, and he is hoping for an even greater miracle in this book; that the entire nation will turn from their independent, hedonistic ways and repent. This must be manifested in a national day of prayer and repentance called by Her Majesty the Queen.

Paul heard from God that there would be an economic collapse a long time before it happened and he warns us now of greater disasters should we not turn back to God. The physical earthquake that he, and we at Seven, believe God will send through the heart of London to rebuke His people if not, can be supported by geological evidence; there is a fault line which runs under the channel tunnel, down through England and under London. It has had an earthquake every 200 years and it is 30 years overdue. We believe that it is only through fervent prayer that it has been held back this long. Should God lose His long-suffering patience and send the earthquake, the Thames will burst its banks and London as we know it will be gone, along with the world’s financial infrastructure.

In January 2009, William heard from God that he was to unite the church in this country. Seven’s primary function is developing businesses using biblical principles. We develop Christian businesses beyond a state of mediocrity so that they can be an example of how to succeed doing it God’s way, and we develop non-Christian businesses in any environment where they can see successful Christian businesses and hear the Gospel. William, having spent a large part of his career as a hugely successful financial advisor and business coach, has a lot to impart and we believe sincerely that, having been called to this, we are doing God’s work. Uniting the Church though?!

The church is split on so very many finite points of doctrine that could almost be considered inconsequential, considering the result, and many people have made very well intended efforts to achieve parity here and got no-where. It appeared an impossible task, and how were we to do it?? It was then that God spoke.

William and Karen spent a lot of our more testing times wandering the river banks in Spalding in prayer. God informed William that he was to walk around the entire nation, and pray, handing out copies of the Earthquake in the City and speaking wherever he is welcomed. The size of the task is mind-boggling, as is the prospect of the opposition we will face in this age. That has already begun, and as in so many cases, it is other Christians who are found at the front of the queue. This walk will begin at the start of May, and take 5 months. Church leaders around the nation have already made it clear that they will support us in their locality.

We would greatly value your prayers, brothers and sisters in the Lord. Something big is coming. Chas and Marion once had a vision that The Lighthouse would be a beacon to the Nation. Help us make that a reality.
