We’ve had five Over 60’s Specials now. It’s coming along very well. All who come along enjoy themselves.
We have a lovely time together getting to know each other. It gives Sue and myself the chance to see where and if we can help them in any way and the chance to talk about Jesus. Hopefully we can start to reach out to others in the community and bring them in as well.
Our December gathering is our Christmas lunch and we had some fun and games and a good time together.
If you would like to come along to the Over 60’s Specials we hold them once a month and our next meeting is 19th February 2pm to 3.30 pm. We can provide transport if needed. Please contact myself, Vinny or Sue Robbins. We look forward to seeing you.

Over 60's Christmas meal
As Richard and I were picked up in the minibus by Sue and Don, we had a lovely ride around Spalding in the snow picking up a few other people to come to the meal. It was good fun as we went over bumps and lumps of snow, but as Don is such a careful driver we quite enjoyed the ride and arrived safely at church.
The tables were decorated exquisitely and there was a cracker, a present and a card for each person. There were about 20 of us altogether although some of the over 60’s didn’t come. So Marion and Chas and one or two other people were invited to stay and celebrate including one of the Supaclub children’s nan and a friend Tish brought along. Vin, Rachel, Joanna and Vin’s daughter, Amy came along to help.
We had a really big Christmas lunch and it was scrumptious turkey with all the trimmings followed by Christmas pudding. The atmosphere was great and we had a wonderful time together. We had some games and finished off with a reading from Sue and Brenda and also a short word about the birth of Jesus and what Christmas is all about. We then closed in prayer and everyone went home feeling very full and happy. What a really wonderful time we spent together.
Thank you very much to Vin and Sue and the helpers and everyone who made this such a great and blessed time of fellowship. For each one who came..... Over 60’s don’t forget to come next time!
